NFC East Midseason Review

by IAmAstra | 3 weeks ago | 2 Comments

Hello and welcome to the NFC East Midseason review! Here I will give the teams in the East records. BR predictions and stats and info about the teams!

Dallas Cowboys Current record 4-3 Prediction 12-4.

Zeke has been unstoppable as usual for the Cowboys, Zeke is averaging 6.6 yards per carry with 14 TD's already on the season, maybe he breaks the MBL record? The Cowboys decided it was time to move on from Travis Frederick and shipped him to the Titans for Jurrell Casey and a 1st round pick. Dak has only been sacked 16 times in Fredericks absence while Jurrell Casey only has 2 sacks and 2 TFL's on the season. DeMarcus Lawrence has continued to terrorize OL's as he has 10 sacks on the season. Dak is also completing nearly 80% of his passes while the Cowboys are one of 2 teams in the MBL (Bears) to have more rushing TD's than passing TD's. With the Cowboys being a rush first team, they also lead the MBL in first downs.

New York Giants record 0-6 BR prediction 9-7

Oh boy here we go,  The New York football Giants are ABYSMAL. They benched Daniel Jones for Kirk Cousins who has not produced, throwing 11 TD's to 13 INT's and only completing 64% of his passes . If this team wants to accel, Saquon has to get the ball more. He's averaging 5.8 yards per rush and 4 TD's Barkley is home run hitter in the run and pass game and needs more touches. Darius Slayton might be the only one enjoying Kirk Cousins at QB, as Slayton has over 350 yards and 5 TD's in that time. Where has Evan Engram gone? Put that man on a milk carton as he only has 189 receiving yards and 2 TD's. The Giants offense is also last in gaining first downs. The Giants gave pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu a 5 year , 95 million dollar extension for 3 whole sacks. Lorenzo Carter has 10.5 sacks on the year and is being doubled, Nwosu has to show he's worth the money. The Giants are also dead last in giveaways.

Washington Redskins record 5-2  BR prediction 8-8

The Redskins are the surprising leaders in the NFC East right now. Some in part to the duo of Terry Mclaurin and James Styles, they aren't no DHop and Mike Evans, but the two combine for over 1,000 yards and 12 TD's on the year. Montez Sweat and company have been feasting on O-Lines, Sweat has 11 sacks on the season while leading the MBL in team sacks. Despite letting Da'Ron Payne and Jonathan Allen go to the Jets via trade, the Skins are still 2nd in rushing yards allowed. The Skins also traded for Benardrick McKinney, who has brought the defense together as a whole. Will the Skins finish first stop the NFC east?

Philadelphia Eagles current record 4-3 BR predict 7-9

The Eagles are a team that are struggling with good players getting old, between their O-Line and D-Lines falling apart, it's time for the Eagles to start getting youth at those positions. Carson Wentz has been sacked 33 times this season, 4th worse in the MBL. In a surprising move, the Eagles traded their 2nd round pick for Austin Ekeler, after already having Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, and rookie Franklin Moore. Despite aging, the Eagles do have the 3rd best rushing yards allowed, this does come at a toll though where the Eagles are bottom 5 in reaching the quarterback. The team also struggles with forcing turnovers, as they are tied for last in interceptions. The one positive note for the Eagles is they are the ONLY team in the MBL with 100% offensive red zone percentage.

This concludes my NFC East Review. The Skins are the team to beat right now, but Dallas is sitting there right behind them ready for them to drop a few games. The Eagles are weathered and might be able to make a run as well, the Giants? Try again next year guys.
