2023 Draft Recap
The Pittsburgh Steelers filled a couple key positions in this year draft. In the first round the Steelers drafted Tight End out of West Virginia Hudson Henry, who will look to make an impact right of the back. Henry will be the starting tight end for the Steelers to open preseason. Coming out of college Henry lead the Big 12 conference in reception and touchdowns for tight ends. Henry was also the winner of the John Mackey Award. Henry will have plenty of opportunities out on the field as the Steelers look to improve on their passing game this year.
The Steelers also drafted a center turned left guard in Branson Bragg from the University of Abilene Christian in the second round and Will Anderson a excellent pass rusher linebacker in the third round from Alabama University. If we know anything about defensive players from Alabama and Nick Saban the Steelers have a rookie with high potential.
Anderson wasted no time introducing himself to Washington quarterback in last week preseason game getting to him twice for sacks and a force fumble. The rookie will be a key piece on creating pressure along with veteran TJ Watt and others.
