The Jets woes continue as a quarterback controversy appears to be brewing in New York. A lack luster and scoreless first half by the Jets ended up being their downfall as they traveled to Foxborough to take on their divisional rivals. Jets QB Kirk Cousins would go 6-10 with 65 yards and two interceptions before he was replaced by fomer 1st round pick Sam Darnold. Darnold would lead the Jets comeback but fell 5 points short. Darnold would go 17-22 with an interception and touchdown including finding savvy veteran Jermaine Kerse on a magnificent 71 yard reception. Speedster Robby Anderson had a solid game hauling in 8 catches for 113 yards but ended just short of the goaline. The Jets played solidly on defense but were often forced into short fields especially in the opening quarters. The AFC's week one defensive player of the week in FS Marcus Maye had a game shifting interception bounce off of his hands however. It may be too early to write off the first overall pick in Devin White as a bust but he looked lost for the second game in his young career ending the game with only a single assisted tackle. This makes the 4th game in a row that the Jets have lost including last year. As Kirk Cousins struggles it's unclear who the Jets will be starting vs the Steelers in week 3.
