With first round draft choice Trey Lance struggling in his first season under center for Chicago and Nick Foles showing his age, it came as a shock to no one when the Bears took Michigan QB Joe Milton in the fourth round. While Lance will remain starter for Week 1, there are certainly possibilites of a change coming down the road at starting quarterback for the Bears. "We love competition in the quarterback room. " Said Coach Soprano in a post-practice interview. "These guys are going to work together and learn from one another. [Foles] is a veteran with a ring under his belt, we fully expect him to take these guys under his wing. Right now, Trey is going to be our guy Week 1." While Lance has expressed excitement and optimism for his sophmore season, Milton has made some comments hinting at wanting to be the guy. " I won't lie, I'm hungry to get out there and win games for this team at quarterback. Right now I'm just focused on playing my role and getting to work in practice." The Bears will face their division rival Green Bay Packers Week 1.
