Top 5 QB Prospects for the 2020 Draft

1. Tua Tagovailoa |Alabama | 6’1”, 218 lbs, Jr.

If Tua decides to go to the NFL after his junior season, he will be the first overall pick.  This is a great talent, almost a “can’t miss” prospect.  He has the potential to become the next great NFL quarterback.

2. Jacob Eason | Washington| 6’6”, 229 lbs, Jr.(RS)

Eason has a cannon, probably one of the strongest arms in this class.  Ideal height and weight.  First-year starter who hasn’t had a lot of experience.  Accuracy does need work but has all the tools to improve it.  His draft stock will greatly depend on his performance this year.

3. K.J. Costello | Stanford| 6’5”, 215 lbs, Jr.(RS)

Costello is a boom or bust prospect.  The potential is there; he just needs the right coach and situation.  Not a day one starter but can if he has to.  Above average arm strength and accuracy.  Has a very high football IQ and that is what sets him apart from some of the prospects in this class.

4. Josh Jackson | Virginia Tech | 6’1” 220 lbs, Jr.(RS)

Jackson is my QB sleeper pick for this year's draft.  Had a decent year last year in passing and rushing. He is a QB who looks to run than pass.  He has all the tools needed to become a good quarterback.  A good athlete who has the ability to outrun some linebackers and make them miss.  If he can have a great season, he might be the second QB selected in this upcoming draft, that is if he declares.

5. Jarrett Stidham | Auburn | 6’3”, 215 lbs, Sr(RS)

Stidham is probably the best pure passer in this class. Mechanically, he is put together well.  Could be considered this class’ most accurate quarterback.  Has good arm strength and athleticism.  The issue for him would be the system he plays in.  Which is not a pass heavy offense so his body of work is somewhat limited.  As the season unfolds, he draft stock will become clearer.
