Early predictions for this year’s super bowl match up are flying in fast as the excitement for the new season has reached its apex. It is week 1 and the feeling of hope and ambition has consumed 32 franchises and 32 fan bases alike across the country.
As of now the Los Angels Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons are the early favorites to battle it out for the right to be crowned champion!
Glory has eluded Atlanta for decades, going back to the days of Jamal Anderson team that faced off against John Elway’s Broncos in Super Bowl 33, to the more recent heartbreak of Super Bowl 51 versus Tom Brady and the Patriots.
The Chargers have been the forgotten team in California, last appearing in a Super Bowl in a humiliating defeat against the San Francisco 49ers . It’s now a different era in Southern California and these Chargers are led by one of the hottest rising stars of the league in QB Justin Herbert, and he has no plans for a sophomore slump.
