Draft Pro's MBL Draft Season 35 Mock

by jdotpete | 1 month ago | 0 Comments

The draft is nearly upon us and the MBL Draft Pros Season 35 Mock Draft is now available. This mock was written, editted, reshuffled after a number of late trades, and rewritten by MBL’s Todd McShay aka XX. This figures to be one of the most talent laden draft classes in years and there has been plenty of movement by owners trying to jockey for position to take that next player that will transform their franchise.

“Great pass rushing moves, and the physical tools to harass Quarterbacks for years”

1

Packers

Jameel Norman

LOLB

Packers take the hard-hitting 21 year old with too much talent to pass up. He has great pass rushing moves, and the physical tools to harass Quarterbacks for years to come.

2

Bills

Benjamin Paradis

QB

After trading away Josh Allen to the Lions, the Bills take the best QB on my board. He has the throw power and accuracy to succeed in the MBL.

3

49ers

Derek Patterson

WR

The 49ers go with the speedster from Texas. He reminds me of Tyreke Hill and the defenses will need to gameplan around this kid or he can take it to the house on any play.

4

Broncos

Sanchez Horton

LT

The Broncos fill a need and take one of the classes best lineman. Horton is strong in both the passing and blocking game. He will be a day one starter at tackle.

5

Panthers

Rashard Barrow

RT

The Wisconsin tackle impressed with his speed and strength at the combine. I think the Panthers get Cam Newton some protection and pull the trigger on a talented lineman.

6

Eagles

Martinez Mullins

SS

I think the Eagles take a replacement for Malcom Jenkins with their pick. He has the speed and skill to be an excellent safety in this league. He reminds me of the Broncos Adrian Sullivan who went in a similar spot last draft.

7

Jaguars

Allen Richie

QB

After trading up to the 7th pick, the Jags make a pretty obvious pick here and take the quarterback from USC. After dealing with Bortle’s accuracy issues, I think they take the more accurate Richie over Romero’s throw power.

8

Raiders

TeQuan Jasper

HB

I have the Raiders pulling the trigger on my top runningback. He is extremely elusiveness with a lightning fast first step. At only 21, he would be a franchise back for years to come.

9

Redskins

Jorge Romero

QB

The Redskins paid a heavy price to move up to 9th and I see them taking the strong armed QB from Wisconsin. He can zip the ball at remarkable speed. His accuracy is the worst of the 1st round QBs, but you can’t teach that arm strength.

10

Steelers

Carey Berger

RG

The Steelers need help on the line and I see them taking the 21 year old from the U. He is strong and quick and should have no problem opening up holes for the Steelers power run game.

“Jordan has the skill set of a Travis Kelce and will make an excellent target for newly signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers”

11

Saints

Sanchez Massie

MLB

The Saints go with the athletic linebacker from Stanford. He has excellent burst, speed, and fills the gaps. He is everything you could want in a modern MBL linebacker.

12

Dolphins

Deandre Clark

WR

The Dolphins go with the talented wide out with their pick. He has excellent hands and has solid top end speed. Last year’s first overall pick gets a weapon this year.

13

Chargers

Hansen Spoon

QB

While Brissett is a short term solution, I think the Chargers fill a long term need and grab their QB of the future. He can develop behind Brissett, but should be good enough to push for the starting job on day 1.

14

Rams

Jordan McDaniel

TE

The Rams go with the big tight end out of Clemson. He has the skill set of a Travis Kelce and will make an excellent target for newly signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

15

Jets

Julius McFadden

WR

I see the Jets getting Darnold some help and draft the other wide out from Auburn. At 21, he has the skills to start right away and will give him an excellent target.

16

Vikings

Rashawn Pratt

CB

I see the Vikings taking a future replacement for Xavier Rhodes with this pick. He has great coverage skills and great speed. He is my top corner in this draft.

17

Titans

Jordan Cook

FS

I have the Titans taking a chance on the very physically gifted safety from Michigan state. He still needs to learn to play the position but has the tools to be an impact player in the MBL.

18

Texans

Griffin Romberg

LT

The Texans fill their biggest need and get some help for Watson. He is a strong pass blocking tackle and should do well as a MBL lineman.

19

Ravens

Maurice Ali

LE

The Ravens grab a placement for 31 year old Brandon Williams. The speed rushing end from Nebraska has too much talent to fall much further.

20

Falcons

Stephon Lamb

LG

The Falcons fill a heavy need and take a guard. He is my 2nd best guard in the class and I think he has all the physical tools to be a success in both the run and pass games.

21

Dolphins

Josh Sanders

LE

The Dolphins have more pressing needs, but I see them going with the talented defensive end. This is a bit of a fall for Sanders but I think the Dolphins see his talent and happily scoop him up.

“Neal would be a steal at this point in the draft. Bears get a long term solution at QB after Trubisky is out the door”

22

Bengals

Derrick Howell

SS

Shawn Williams is 29 and on the last year of his deal and I think the Bengals address that and take Howell here. He can play both man and zone and should fit in nicely next to Bates at free safety.

23

Chiefs

Kirkland Dukes

LT

The Chiefs need some help on the line and I have them taking Dukes here. He is not the strongest but is a good blocker and helps protect the Chiefs high powered passing attack.

24

Bears

Marquise Neal

QB

The Bears seem hesitant to pay Trubisky as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. I see them solving that by taking the Michigan State man.

25

Patriots

Adonis Stokes

SS

The Patriots go with the excellent zone safety in Stokes as he fills a hole in their defense. He has shown incredible ball instincts and it should translate to the MBL.

26

Seahawks

Keifer McBriar

LT

The Seahawks improve their offensive line and grab the lineman out of Rhode Island. He is a good pass blocker and should help protect new signing Mariota.

27

Bills

Patrick Megna

LG

With their 2nd pick in the 1st round, I see them protected their investment and grabbing some help for Paradis. Megna is an excellent pass blocker that needs to work on his run blocking.

28

Giants

Zach Fajardo

C

I see the Giants taking another lineman. He is not the strongest but he is a decent blocker and should help open up holes for MVP Saquon Barkley.

29

Chiefs

Deonte Phillips

LOLB

I think the Chiefs take a bit of a chance with a replacement for Justin Houston. Phillips is a decent speed rusher with solid finesse moves. He will need to develop but is worth taking a chance on.

30

Colts

Scott Good

WR

I like the Colts to get a target for the newly signed Russell Wilson. Good has incredible speed and acceleration but needs to work on his route running.

31

49ers

Lindsey Garner

CB

Garner lacks elite speed but is excellent in a zone. He is great value at the end of the 1st round for a team relying on Richard Sherman to defy father time.

32

Raiders

Joita Maryland

CB

The Raiders recently traded Conley for this pick so it opens up the pick of a cornerback here. Like Garner, Maryland also lacks elite speed but has great coverage skills.
