Draft Pros: Season 50 Mock Draft

by xXunderoathzXx | 1 month ago | 0 Comments

Welcome to the 1st mock of the Madden 21 cycle. The drafts may not have changed much this cycle, but that doesn’t there isn’t talent to be had. Lots of trades and suspensions have shaken up the 1st round. Take a look at what our team has for the 1st round.

“After putting up an explosive combine, Lewis has cemented himself as a top 5 pick. With Byard already in tow, teams will need to think twice about testing this secondary combo.”

1

Titans

Trevon Lewis

S

After putting up an explosive combine, Lewis has cemented himself as a top 5 pick. With Byard already in tow, teams will need to think twice about testing this secondary combo.

3

Broncos (from Texans via Dolphins)

Treyvon Carr

OLB

The Broncos probably had bigger ambitions than taking a replacement for Von Miller with the pick they acquired in his trade, but I think you have to go best player here. Carr is a stud and the Broncos would regret passing on him.

4

Lions

Forrest Kemp

S

Though WR is a major hole, I don’t see one worth taking in the top 5. The Heisman winning safety is a fantastic zone corner as he led the NCAA in INTs. A great addition to any defense.

5

Steelers (from Ravens)

Daryl Lindley

OLB

Taking a chance on Moorman will be tempting as the Steelers need a long term answer at QB, however I think they are better served picking up a TJ Watt replacement. Lindley is a great pass rusher and a great fit here.

6

Raiders

Quincy McBride

CB

A late riser after an impressive 40 time, McBride has all the makings of a player that gets snapped up early. He is the best zone cover CB and has shown his speed at the combine.

7

Vikings

8

Chargers

Brian Boone

DT

DT is probably the deepest position in this draft and Boone is still on a level of his own. With a rare combo of strength and pure skill, Boone is an instant impact player for an already powerful Chargers defense.

9

Chargers

Bryce Hendricks

WR

Letting Allen walk was a bold call by the Chargers front office. Herbert is missing his best weapon. I think the Chargers should take a chance on Hendricks here or they may see their offense take a big step backwards in Herbert’s 2nd season.

10

Jags (from Rams)

Matt Connor

WR

I like what Connor brings to the table. He has an explosive first step and always seems to make plays in traffic. I like the fit for the Jags here.

“Defense is still the play for this Texans team. They have a bunch of solid CBs but nobody really stands out. Gaffney is the best man cover CB in the draft and can help the Texans day one.”

Description

11

49ers

Tyler Cohen

DT

I’d like to see the 49ers plug in a strong DT next to Kinlaw. The 49ers are a defense first team and their best course of action is to build on their already powerful defensive line. Cohen looks like a great fit.

12

Saints

Pick Forfeited

N/A

Saints should probably throw more slants to slant boy

13

Texans (from Football Team via Bucs)

Rashard Harris

OLB

I want to see the Texans try and build a solid defense. I can see the logic in trading an aging Watt, but this defense has next to no talent. Harris gives the Texans a future building piece.

14

Bucs (from Bengals)

Spencer Murphy

CB

CB is def not a need for TB, but their owner has shown his willingness to take chances on talent over need. Murphy is a sleeper in this draft and I think Tampa takes him and looks to figure out their CB situation later.

15

Eagles

Jason Savage

OT

I am not high on OL in this draft. Savage is the best of the bunch and a definite need for a cap strapped Eagles team.

16

Packers

Manny Thomas

MLB

The Cheeseheads need to play someone at MLB. Right now I have no idea who that someone is. A 21 YO with the best combine may be someone worth taking a chance on.

17

Patriots

Al Ford

OT

33 YO Marcus Cannon is currently slotted to start at RT. Ford provides a much younger option. He profiles as a run blocker mostly but at 21 has the talent to further develop his game.

18

Broncos

Artie Black

OG

Denver has some major needs along the offensive line. Black is a fantastic run blocker who really needs to grow into a more rounded player.

19

Texans (from Steelers)

Chianti Gaffney

CB

Defense is still the play for this Texans team. They have a bunch of solid CBs but nobody really stands out. Gaffney is the best man cover CB in the draft and can help the Texans day one.

20

Bears

Dudley Armstrong

HB

I think we see the 1st RB off the board here. After letting Cohen walk, the Bears need a solid RB to help neutralize their questionable QB situation. Dudley is a solid fit for the Bears.

21

Jags

Reggie Melton

S

A great pro day has jumped up Melton on a lot of teams boards. I think the Jags will value his raw ability and he will develop nicely with the Jags young and upcoming team.

“Who takes a chance on Moorman? For some reason I see Tampa as that team. In such a weak QB class, Moorman is the best prospect. A big arm but he has some inaccuracy issues. Who better to learn from than Brady?”

22

Cardinals

Kristian Bradham

DT

The Cardinals need someone to anchor their 3-4 defense. Bradham really impressed for Arizona State and has shown the ability to eat double teams. I like the fit here.

23

Falcons

Niles Kelly

S

The Falcons have no one lined up opposite Neal currently after losing both Allen and Kazee. Kelly profiles as a run stopper and needs to work on his zone instincts.

24

Rams (from Chiefs via Browns)

Dre Scott

WR

If the Rams have a plan after trading one of the best defensive players of this generation in Aaron Donald, it is unbeknownst to me. For now Dre Scott can likely find his way into the Rams team who need options outside Woods and Kupp.

25

Steelers (from Cowboys)

Nate Westbrook

HB

I know, I know. The Steelers do not like to run the ball. The Steelers value speed. But 30 reps at RB? The MBL needs more Derrick Henrys. If you can’t find a QB do the next best thing and take a staple at RB.

26

Bucs

Alexander Moorman

QB

Who takes a chance on Moorman? For some reason I see Tampa as that team. In such a weak QB class, Moorman is the best prospect. A big arm but he has some inaccuracy issues. Who better to learn from than Brady?

27

Broncos (from Dolphins)

Jermaine Brittingham

DT

With 3 picks in the 1st round, you have to focus on talent over need. Rankins is a solid defensive tackle but I think Brittingham is just too talented to pass up.

28

Colts

Justin Strickland

DT

An injury has really dropped Strickland down lots of teams' draft boards. However I see a player worth taking a chance on in the late 1st. The Miami DT finds a nice home in Indianapolis

29

Panthers

Courtney Spikes

CB

The Panthers need someone opposite Donte Jackson. Spikes has a lot to work on but is a good find for the Panthers team who came oh so close to the SB.

30

Rams (from Browns)

Thad Reynolds

DE

It’s rough to take a DE after losing the best one in the league, but you have to play someone here. Reynolds is stepping into the biggest shoes imaginable, a scary prospect for the young Southern Miss product.

31

Bills

Brad Winslow

WR

The Clemson product lacks top end speed, but he is a solid player and should find a nice home in Buffalo. He excels in traffic and has a quick 1st step.

32

Jets (from Seahawks)

Chris Dixon

HB

After letting Bell go, the Jets could use someone to help take the pressure off Darnold and his INT woes. Dixon could and should see the ball early and often for the Jets.
