Team Owner SGC Rev has made some major changes in Tampa Bay. During the off-season, the team released marquee vet Desean Jackson, allowing him to hit the free agency market. “We appreciate what Desean has done for the team, but we feel it’s best to move forward and go in a different direction.” Along with Jackson, Rev and Alstott released a slew of players from the roster. “We needed an overhaul. A true change of culture and scheme. Some of those guys simply didn’t fit. We wanted to free cap and make moves for Tampa to be a contender NOW.”

In renewing the team, the Tampa management went to the trading block and into free agency acquiring the following players:

90ovr DE Melvin Ingram

82ovr WR Cooper Kupp

82ovr MLB Nick Kwiatkoski

80ovr WR Adam Humphries

79ovr LT Cordy Glenn

Another highlight of the off-season was first round pick Berry Boyle (81ovr and Star Dev). “He’s probably going to start for us. He’s already developing on track to be an elite safety. We are still looking at ways to improve our secondary but he was a major addition for us.” -Coach Alstott

Tampa will open their season at home vs The Vikings to start the SGC Rev era.
