The Lions and Packers renewed their rivalry once more this weekend and it did not dissapoint. What appeared to be a blowout early in the game came down to a one possession contest. This was not a close hard fought battle for Detroit but rather a test of their mettle. The San Francisco 49ers came into Detroit and dominated the Lions 44-20. Matt Stafford looked uncomfortable all game and threw 4 INTs and 1 pick six. He was not the only Lion that struggled in this game. The wide receiver core as a whole had a very poor game and did not help Stafford with 8 dropped passes.
The Lions stuggled mightily on defense as well. At one point in the game Garroppolo had completed 17 of 17 passes. The defense performed decently against the run but struggled...

Tonight is a big night for Matthew Stafford. After his poor showing during his week one matchup against the stout New York Jets defense. First half for Stafford wasn’t too bad but once the Lions faced a deficit, you could tell that Stafford started to try and force the ball to his receivers.
